For a perfect espresso, use 18-20g of finely ground coffee. Preheat the espresso machine and portafilter. Tamp the grounds with uniform pressure. Brew at 9 bars of pressure with water at 200°F (93°C) for about 25-30 seconds, yielding 1oz (30ml) of rich, full-bodied espresso.
French Press:
For French Press, use a 1:15 coffee-to-water ratio with coarsely ground coffee. Add hot water at 200°F (93°C) to the coffee, ensuring all grounds are saturated, and steep for 4 minutes. After steeping, slowly plunge to separate the grounds from the brewed coffee, and serve immediately.
Drip Coffee:
For drip coffee, use a medium grind with a 1:15 coffee-to-water ratio. Place the grounds in a filter, and evenly pour water at 200°F (93°C) over the grounds. Allow the coffee to brew for about 5 minutes. Ensure the equipment is clean to avoid altering the coffee’s flavor.
Pour Over:
For pour-over, use a 1:15 coffee-to-water ratio with medium-coarse grounds. Pre-wet the filter to remove any paper taste. First, allow the coffee to bloom by pouring a small amount of water at 200°F (93°C) over the grounds and waiting 30 seconds. Then, pour the remaining water in a circular motion, ensuring all grounds are saturated, and let it brew for about 3-4 minutes. Enjoy immediately after brewing.
